2006 OUT-OF-TOWN PARADES
Three
parades and press conferences will
be held in Baguio City, San Fernando
(Pampanga) and Lucena City to jumpstart
this year’s Metro Manila Film
Festival (Philippines) affair.
The presscon-parade
schedules will take place on Thursday,
Dec. 14 in the Pines City, on Friday,
Dec. 15 in the Pampanga capital and
on Wednesday, Dec. 20 in Lucena.
All press conferences
which will be attended by national
and local media people are scheduled
at 12 noon. The venues are the SM
branches in Baguio and San Fernando,
and Princess Margaret in Lucena.
The parades or motorcades
will be participated in by representatives
from the nine film entries in this
year’s filmfest. Stars of the
films are expected to grace the occasion
with their presence.
The biggest parade will
be held in Metro Manila on December
24, a day before the official start
of the 10-day filmfest.
All filmfest entries
will be simultaneously shown in theaters
nationwide, including the 28 branches
of SM malls.
With the withdrawal
of Short Time of Virgin Films, the
nine official entries include the
following:

formerly titled Batang Maynila (action)
starring Cesar Montano, Sunshine Cruz,
Celia Rodriguez and Johnny Delgado
and directed by Cesar Montano.

Matakot ka sa Karma,
formerly titled Pagkagat ng Dilim
(horror) starring Gretchen Barretto,
Rica Peralejo, Angelika Panganiban
and Derek Ramsey and directed By Joey
Javier Reyes.

Enteng Kabisote 3 (fantasy/adventure)
starring Vic Sotto and Kristine Hermosa
and directed by Tony Reyes.
