Sundance
Filmfest Director Holds Workshop in Manila
Geoff
Gilmore, the director of the Sundance
Film Festival, will hold a one-day
workshop on independent filmmaking on
May 26 at the De La Salle Univesity’s
Brother Andrew Gonzalez Hall.
Billed as a one-of-a-kind
independent filmmaking workshop and called
Sundance in Manila, the workshop will
take place for four hours from 2 p.m.
to 6 p.m.
Gilmore, dubbed as Mr. Sundance,
will be brought here through the joint
efforts of Bigfoot Entertainment, the
InternationaL Academy of Film and Television,
the Film Development Council of the Philippines,
Philippine Airlines and De La Salle University.
The workshop will be hosted
by Kate Andrews, CEO of Bigfoot Entertainment.
Gilmore is expected to talk
about the big breaks that made Directors
Robert Rodriguez, Quintin Tarantino and
Steven Soderberg leading filmmakers in
the United States today.
Limited seats are available.
The general public will be charged P3,000
and students P2,500 for the four-hour
